Some stories stick with a reader, and Wuthering Heights has stuck with me for many, many years. The agony of grief and longing. The striking cruelty that is shown to and meted out by Heathcliff. The redemptive power of love. I have read it several times, and each time I discover a new detail or element. It’s a classic for a reason!
This time, I listened to this wonderful performance by Joanne Froggatt. Hearing her narrate the dark and haunting tale of love unrequited and lost to death was a stunningly immersive experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. She truly brought the story to life in wonderful ways.
I have never read that book….I will have to do some research on it 🙂

Yes! I always think folks should check out the classics. (Even if you find it isn’t your taste.)
