Let’s Pretend This Never Happened, by Jenny Lawson

I’ve lost count of the number of times I have seen this book on shop shelves since it was released in 2012. The adorably dressed white mouse never failed to grab my attention, but I always kind of shrugged and moved on.

What. Was. I. Thinking.

And why did no one intervene in the face of this tragic ignorance on my part? Truly, I hold each of you who are reading this partially responsible.

I’m struggling to find the right words to express how much I enjoyed this book. Fresh and funny and full of heart. I reveled in listening to Jenny Lawson read her stories. I do apologize to the other drivers who were likely wondering why I was laugh-crying. Actually, you know what? I only apologize to those other drivers because they weren’t also listening to the hilarious homilies, too. Get on it, folks. Trust me: you don’t know what you’re missing!
