The Tourist Attraction, by Sarah Morgenthaler

This book and I got off to a slow start, but I’m so glad that I stuck with it. I adore this book–I fell hard for this witty, funny, and romantic story, and now I can’t stop recommending it to anyone and everyone!

Zoey is a hard-working waitress with dreams of seeing, no, experiencing, Alaska. Graham is a grudgingly hard-working restaurant owner who dreams of being an artist. These two couldn’t be more different. Yet they make the perfect pair. When everything goes wrong with Zoey’s carefully planned itinerary, Graham (who generally abhors the tourists who flock to his small Alaskan hometown) can’t help but spring into action to make all of Zoey’s dreams come true. (And then some!)

The Tourist Attraction quickly skyrocketed to the top of my list of favorite books–and is absolutely one of the best I have read this year. I laughed, I cried, I stayed up way too late because I simply couldn’t (more like really, really didn’t want) to put it down.
