The Escape Manual for Introverts, by Katie Vaz

It is a truth universally acknowledged that an introvert faced with a social invitation must be in want of a means of escape. It’s not that we introverts don’t enjoy people or that we aren’t sociable! Rather, we prefer to use our limited socializing energy with close friends or loved ones. Many of us aren’t much for small talk, either. We would much rather dive into a substantive conversation about a favorite topic. Put all of that together and it’s no wonder we find ourselves in need of a clever “out” from time to time!

Katie Vaz’s illustrated manual is full of cute and funny comics–and a couple of plausible excuses!–for introverts to use when in need. It’s a lighthearted and useful book every introvert needs in their collection. I highly recommend it!
