What begins as a short-term stay grows longer and longer when a client at her family business, costume shop Disguise DeLimit, is found dead at his own party – and the person standing over him with a knife is the woman who Margo thinks of as a mother.
A Disguise to Die For is a quick-paced read; Diane Vallere has a knack for making you want to squeeze in just one more chapter into whatever reading time you have available. She also does a great job of keeping readers on their toes as far as the mystery is concerned! At one point, I was even suspecting a couple of the most unlikely characters! (Thank goodness I was wrong.) Proper City is a small town with a unique twist and I don’t think I’ve ever read a character quite like this cast. This book is refreshing, funny, and sharp – a great addition to the cozy mystery scene!
