Revolve, by Bal Khabra

If I were limited to only one word to describe my review of Revolve, it would be obsessed. The story may feature hockey players and figure skaters, but I read at a speed skater’s pace, racing to the next chapter and gliding through the pages.

Dylan is a star on the ice, a leader on his hockey team, and a favorite among the women at every college party—until a critical mistake costs him everything he’s been dreaming of.

Sierra has already lost everything and is fighting for the figure skating future she’s worked for her entire life.

When the pair are forced together as a last resort to salvage both of their dreams, sparks fly. Oil and water have never burned so bright.

Revolve features some of my favorite romance tropes: enemies to lovers, he falls first, forced proximity, and that achingly beautiful dynamic where a strong woman finally—finally—has a safe place to fall apart and piece herself back together again.

This feisty romance crackles with passion balanced on a skate blade’s edge. There’s a fire banked between the characters, kept at a temper by sharp, sassy banter and sly humor that had me grinning and swooning in equal measure.

I give this one a standing ovation from the rink seats—you will too.

I received a free ARC of this book from Netgalley and the publisher, Berkley, in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.
