My BFF Laura recommended this book to me. As she was describing what it was about–the daily notes, thoughts, and musings of a used bookshop owner in Scotland–I was immediately intrigued and eager to check it out. I love a good epistolary novel, so a diary-format non-fiction book is right up my alley.

I took my time and really savored THE DIARY OF A BOOKSELLER. I enjoyed the stories and vignettes and found myself looking up titles the author mentions in the course of his reflections. (And adding some to my to-read list!) Reading this book was a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable experience. I’m so glad to know there are more books from Shaun Bythell that I can move on to next!
