The Lost Summers of Newport, by Beatriz Williams, Karen White, and Lauren Willig

The extravagant estates in Newport, Rhode Island, bring the mind the glory of a forgotten era. Once the playground of society’s elite, it is, in some spots, more tarnish than shine. Andie and her film crew arrive at the Sprague Estate to renovate three rooms for a show called “Makeover Mansion.” Unfortunately, everything goes wrong from the start, and Andie’s future on the show seems to be crumbling faster than the aging estate. Saving her job might depend on unearthing more than layers of paint and flooring–she’ll need to find a way to uncover truths buried for over one hundred years.

The collaborations from this impressive trio of writers are always excellent. In their usual way, Beatriz Williams, Karen White, and Lauren Willig tell the story of THE LOST SUMMERS OF NEWPORT from the points of view of women in three different time periods. This is yet another clever and captivating book destined to be a long-time favorite.
