Evil Woman, by Julie Mulhern

Fresh from her Italian honeymoon, Ellison can’t imagine how she stumbled into the middle of yet another murder investigation–especially one involving her nemesis. As a reader, I couldn’t imagine the audacity of a killer targeting the inimitable Frances Walford! The involvement of Ellison’s mother puts particular pressure on the Kansas City socialite to figure out just what is going on. In the process of uncovering a killer, Ellison finds out even more of the secrets her late cheating husband kept from her. Fortunately, she has her new husband, Detective Anarchy Jones, and her beloved Mr. Coffee to help put all of the scattered pieces together.

The Country Club Mysteries are favorite reads of mine. The stories are always clever and captivating; Evil Woman is no exception.
